FROM ONE TABLE TO A WHOLE COMMUNITY

It all began in 2018…

It all began in January of 2018. Adam had just married the love of his life, Michelle, and they took off to Hawaii for their honeymoon. After a few glorious days exploring the beaches of Hawaii and soaking up the sun things suddenly took a turn.

On the morning of Saturday, January 13, 2018, a ballistic missile alert was accidentally issued via the Emergency Alert System in the state of Hawaii. The alert stated that there was an incoming ballistic missile threat to Hawaii, advised residents to seek shelter, and concluded: "This is not a drill".

In that surreal moment, as they sheltered together, Adam realized what matter most: time with the people you love.

After 15 years cooking in prestigious country clubs and five-star restaurants, he felt a pull toward something more personal—something that brought people together around the team.

Later that year, he launched Perfect Strangers Boston, offering private chef experiences designed to create unforgettable nights filled with connection, laughter and exceptional food.

As the business grew, so did the dream. Families kept asking for more ways to enjoy Adam’s cooking—weeknight meals, holiday menus, catering for celebrations, and a place to stop in for something fresh and homemade. That dream became a reality in 2023 when Adam and Michelle opened Perfect Strangers Family Kitchen in Medfield.

Today, the Family Kitchen is a warm, bustling extension of the original vision.

Through it all, the pineapple remains our symbol of hospitality—a reminder of that pivotal moment in Hawaii and the commitment that followed: to welcome people warmly, feed them well and help them savor time with the people who matter most.

Perfect Strangers has grown from one chef and a dream into a true family kitchen, serving a community we love. And we’re just getting started!

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
